Second Win In A Week On Polytrack For Roski
Roski Stud had a second win in a week on the Polytrack at Greyville - this time with two year old chestnut Fort Wood-colt Leven Point, a first foal for his dam Pointing East (by Jallad).
Owned by Mr Bifov and trained by Frank Robinson, this was the colt's second start, winning with ease over 1400m by just over a length under jockey Sean Veale. Leven Point was sold at the 2013 Emperor's Palace National Yearling Sale for R250 000.
His dam is a winner who placed in the Gr3 Strelitzia Stakes. The second dam is Compass Point, who produced Equus Champion Miler Pointing North - a six-time winner in South Africa and the United States. This is also the damline of sire and Gr2 Cape Classic winner Blue Tiger, as well as the likes of Bold Black Types Wainui, Waitara and Count Pahvli.
To date the Roski-bred 2013 draft of National Yearling Sales graduates are starting with much success - two are winners after Cassie O' Malley won last week, with Rascality finishing second in each race from just two starts.
Congratulations to the winning connections and we look forward to seeing much more from this lovely Fort Wood colt.
