Second Win For Onamission And Successfilly

Our beautiful black filly Onamission collected her second win on the weekend for trainer Mike De Kock.

The filly is owned in partnership by his son Matthew De Kock, along with partners C Gordon, T Quigley, P E White, Brad and Brett Summers and won an FM 76 Handicap over 1200m under Callan Murray. Purchased for R120 000 off the 2016 National Yearling Sale, Onamission is the first born out of Gr2 winner Tempted by Jallad.

Its not surprise that Onamission is the colour she is with both her sire Crusade and Tempted being black with no markings! Tempted has an unraced 2yo colt by Just As Well, Master Thief, and a yearling by Oratorio named Persuade Me to look forward to.

Roski has recently collected other wins with the likes of Toreador filly Scootaloo at Flamingo Park, and our special Var filly Successfilly a few weeks back.

We have had a lot of success with Toreador over the years (including Crissy Sanchez and Roy's Marciano) and Scootaloo prior to her first win, has placed five times from eight starts for owner Vendel Civils (Pty) Ltd and trainer Cliffie Miller. The filly is out of Tynette by Tamburlaine, and sold for R50 000 off the 2016 National Yearling Sale.

We were so pleased with Successfilly's win for trainer Gavin Van Zyl at Scottsville. The Var filly out of a half-sister to Kahal, Katici Princess, is indeed a special filly to us and to Greg and was the best looking foal of her year. It was the second win for her after winning her fourth start in Gauteng. She has placed twice before and ran close to Burfi on the weekend at Greyville on the Polytrack in her first attempt at the course.

Katici Princess is a sad loss for Roski - the English import by Noverre besides being a half-sister to Kahal, is from the immediate family of sire Reprimand and the locally-bred Anna Pavlova, recently purchased by Team Valor.

Katici Princess left us multiple winner Al Kateece (by Captain Al), and Gr2 Guineas placed Frosty Friday - a 3-time winner by Western Winter. We are very pleased that Frosty Friday has retired and joined the broodmare band at Roski to continue her dams legacy, and left on the truck recently to pay a visit to Gimmethegreenlight. The last to come from Katici Princess is Kateecador, who has placed in all three of her starts at two.

Congratulations to everyone concerned!
