Just Smoke Em Wins Second Time Out
After Just As Well earned a double at the Vaal on Thursday with Chilli Con Carne and Just Africa, Roski-bred three year old filly Just Smoke Em blazed away at Greyville to win by almost two lengths, only second time out over 1600m on the turf. Her debut had been over 1200m on the Polytrack.
In the process she defeated three very smartly bred fillies - with Diamond Cross (Cape Cross), L'Attitude (Lateral) and Roy's Monkey (Teofilo) placing respectively behind her.
A daughter of Leave Em Smokin, a two-time winner by The Sheik whose third dam is Salmon Pink (who in turn produced Sepia), is traine by Mark Dixon and owned by Mrs A Plesner-Dawes.
Just Smoke Em, a first foal for her dam, was not sold at the 2014 Suncoast KZN Yearling Sale. This is the damline of Elevated Charm and King Trout, as well as Free Style.
Just As Well is represented at the upcoming National Yearling Sale in April by the first foal from 10-time (and Stakes winning) Kahal mare Pisces Star, her first foal, selling as Lot 261 from Roski Stud.
