Boloval Takes It By Over Two Lengths At Clairwood
A Captain Al half-sister to Dubai campaigner Journeyman, Boloval took home her first win from just three starts at Clairwood over 1200m for trainer Frank Robinson, while her Jallad half-sister Bo Jally took home a win at Borrowdale just the day before for owner Mr P Moor.
Her first two starts have seen her fourth on debut just a length off the winner, and her second start saw her place second - both races over 1000m at Clairwood. Congratulations to owners Mrs B L Whittaker & Mr G N Wiggill who own the four year old filly.
Boloval's half-brother by Western Winter named Chilli Affair sold to trainer Mike Azzie for R1,2 million at the Emperors Palace Ready To Run Sale in November 2013.
Journeyman, a son of Trippi owned by Mary Slack of Wilgebosdrift, won an impressive debut and placed in the Gr 2 Umkhomazi Stakes in South Africa before being exported to Dubai under the care of trainer Mike De Kock. His debut Meydan start saw him finishing five lengths off the winner Emirates Flyer in the UAE Guineas prep on 16 January over 1400m. Under Chris Soumillon, he finished just three lengths off in his next start - the Meydan Classic Trial over 1400m.
Bo Jally, trained by Amy Bronckhorst, won over 1800m by just over a length at Borrowdale. The five year old mare has now won five races, and placing an incredible 17 times.
Keep a lookout at the 2014 National Yearling Sales for a smart colt, named Marciano, by Toreador and consigned by our Roski Stud. He will be available to view in stable E70, and goes through the ring early as Lot 3. We look forward to seeing you there!
