Roski-bred Journeyman In Dubai Carnival Line-Up

Mike De Kock has announced his Dubai Racing World Cup Carnival string which includes Roski-bred Journeyman.

Bred by Greg Royden Turner of Roski Stud, Journeyman sold for R900 000 at the National Yearling Sales to Wilgebosdrift. The son of Trippi out of Rambo's Love by Rambo Dancer, was exported to Dubai last year for the carnival.

Winning his debut easily by almost four lengths, he only had two South African starts prior to export - the next he placed in the Gr1 Umkhomazi Stakes by a length from Colour Of Courage.

In Dubai he finished just three quarters of a length off He's No Saint in the Meydan Classic Trial under Christophe Soumillon, and was subsequently gelded shortly thereafter. His dam, Rambo's Love, has a beautiful Var colt at foot this season for Roski Stud.

Her colt by Western Winter, Chilli Affair [pictured top left], sold for R1,2million at the Ready To Run sale in 2013 and he has had a promising start to date for trainer Mike Azzie and owner Adriaan Van Vuuren.

This is also the dam-line of Brief Affaire, Land Lubber, European champion filly Pass The Peace and Embassy - the granddam of King's Apostle.
