Silver Kavalier Captures Second Win

Our own-bred son of Kahal out of Silvino mare Silver Special, Silver Kavalier captured his second victory at the Vaal over 1200m for trainer Clinton Binda and jockey Lyle Hewitson. The four year old gelding has placed once before and has been unlucky in many starts to finish close up without an official placing. He was previously trained in KZN by Mike Miller and won his second start by over four lengths at Scottsville.

Dam Silver Special is a 7-time winner who placed second in the Lady's Pendant Stakes Listed. She is a half-sister to six-time winning Garb Of Guise, a winner of the Gosforth Park Filly & Mare Gr1 Challenge.

Jullidar (Just As Well x Lydara by Alydar) has been exported to Mauritius for owner Brian Burnard and finished second, for the second time from three starts on the island. The four year old gelding was unlucky not to win in South Africa after placing five times from his last six starts at Greyville, the other being a fifth place. He finished only a neck off Bernardini gelding Emaar (AUS) in the Rene De C. De Mee Cup over 1600m in slightly soft going.

Well done to all concerned.
