Roski Produces Third Crusade Winner
Following on from our two winners earlier this week, Roski's good form continues with a smashing second victory for Crusade filly Onamission from only her second start. This is the third winner for Crusade and wonderful news for her Gr2 winning dam Tempted - this is the Jallad mare's first foal.
The filly sold for R120 000 at the 2016 National Yearling Sale, and is trained by Mike De Kock for owners Matthew De Kock and his partners C Gordon, T Quigley, P E White, Brad & Brett Summers.
Keep a look out for Tempted's second foal, a colt as Lot 221 named Master Thief, at the upcoming National Yearling Sale. He is by Just As Well, who is continuing his top form from the last season - whilst producing CTS Ready To Run Cup winner, Chilli Con Carne and the likes of Just As I Said, Just Africa and Just Vogue - he is averaging a winners to runners percentage of an impressive 43% - he finished the previous season on 45%. Just As Well has only covered small books of mares each year and his results are impressive!
Our National Yearling Sales draft includes a Gimmethegreenlight half-sister to 3-time winner Miss Minver (sadly deceased), a first foal by Irish Flame out of Gr3 winner Lady Tatty, an Irish Flame three parts brother to Leven Point, and three progeny by Just As Well; one a first foal for Black Type Princess Julietta, a second foal out of 4-time winner Young Caesour, and an Eightfold Path half-brother to Cassie O'Malley.
Congratulations to all concerned!
