Academy Princess Makes It Two

Kahal filly Academy Princess made it two wins for owners' Mesdames Claire Mayers and Pauline Young, who bought the three year old filly off the 2013 Suncoast KZN Yearling Sale for just R60 000.

The three year old out of Royal Academy mare Royal Observer, is trained by Craig Eudey and she has won close to R100 000 and placed four times.

Both her wins came at Greyville over 1600m, this time getting it by a head from Wattalogigot, Guest El Grande and News Weekly. Jumping from a sixth draw, the filly was ridden by apprentice Tristan Godden.

Academy Princess first won in September 2014 and has placed consistently in almost all of her last seven starts. Her dam has also produced another winner, Run Softly by Miesque's Approval who has also placed four times.

This imported family includes Gr2 Post Merchants winning filly Super Profit.

Congratulations to all concerned!
