Winners At Greyville And Kenilworth For Roski
Our horses continue their consistent form with Tyron's Jet bringing home his second win to date for Leslie Logan and trainer Gavin Van Zyl, whilst Zodiac Jack, the first foal of 10-time winner Pisces Star by Just As Well, produced a facile victory at Kenilworth from a well-bred field of juveniles by over five lengths.
Picked by Kerry Jack at the 2016 National Yearling Sale, Zodiac Jack is trained by Greg Ennion and owned by Messrs O Schoeman and A J van Huyssteen.
The juvenile colt looked to be 'the one' at the sale, with the name Jack being the common denominator amongst the connections.
After running green on debut over 800m to finish five lengths off, Zodiac Jack looked a picture in the parade ring and made it look easy over the 1100m, looking strong to lead from the start.
He was well bought at R100 000 for the connections. Another result in for Just As Well this afternoon, as CTS Ready To Run Cup winner Chili Con Carne finished fourth in the Gr3 Tony Ruffel Stakes.
Tyron's Jet last night at Greyville bounced back to his very best last night when fighting on couragously to win by a nose over the 1200m polytrack.
An impressive debut winner who shocked the punters first time out to win by over four lengths at 25/1, Tyron's Jet has placed consistently five times, only out of the money on three occasions.
The three year old filly is by the recently deceased AP Answer, out of The Sheik mare Leave Em Smokin. Her Just As Well three parts sister (both AP Answer and Just As Well by AP Indy) Just Smoke Em is also a winner.
Just As Well is a consistent sire that has produced big results froms small numbers, currently with a winners to runners percentage of 31.3%.
Pisces Star has a beautiful 2016 Oratorio foal on the ground this season!
Congratulations to all concerned!
