Mogokity Grabs Second Win

Talented grey Roski-bred filly Mogokity is proving to be a pleasure to train, grabbing her second win at Greyville on Friday evening on the Poly over 1400m - the first for her new trainer Lezanne Forbes and owners Messrs D B Samuelson and B Samuelson.

Sold for R75 000 at the February Shongweni Horse In Training Sale from the James Goodman yard, Mogokity has now earned R159 525 in stakes.

Out of Model Man mare Double T, Mogokity has passed through the sales ring twice before; as a weanling she was sold to Piemonte Stud for R70 000 and a year later once more at the KZN Yearling Sale for R50 000. She has placed seven times from 11 runs with two wins. Her previous win came at Scottsville over 1400m on the turf and she has placed over 1600m.

Double T, unplaced in one start at three, is beautifully-bred by Model Man out of a Lords mare Lady Greystroke, producing three foals but only one runner - Mogokity.

A quality mare, Double T was on the small side and produced small foals, two of which are unraced. This consequence saw her being given away where she now enjoys life as a riding hack!

She is a half-sister to UAE winner T-Bird and a full-sister to Gr2 placed T-Model. The immediate damline includes Classical Charm, Pitchroy, Treble Cord, Drug Squad and Rhythmical.

Congratulations to Lezanne and the winning connections who can expect a lot more fun to come from this lovely grey filly.
