Mogokity Bags First Win

Grey filly Mogokity has yet to be out of the money from nine starts, and finally got her first well-deserved win yesterday at Scottsville over 1400m.

Trained by part-owner James Goodman and ridden by Brandon Lerena, the Mogok filly jumped from a third draw to go onto win by three quarters of a length from Silvano filly Silver Inspiration, and Exotic Dancer placing third, four lengths off.

A R55 000 KZN Yearling Sale graduate, she has placed in all her previous races from 1000m - 1600m.

Mogokity is out of Model Man mare Double T, who has a 2012 Just As Well colt named Double J. Her first dam is Lady Greystroke, dam of Dubai-raced T-Bird and T-Model, who is a full-sister to Double T, a two-time winner who placed in the Gr2 Golden Slipper.

This is the immediate family of Classical Charm, Rhythmical and Drug Squad. Well done to owners Messrs M A Currie and James Goodman.
