Dynasty's Legacy Off The Mark

Three year old gelding, Dynasty's Legacy, has got his career off to a start with a win from his second outing at Scottsville over 1200m.

Trained by Lezanne Forbes and ridden by Alec Forbes, Dynasty's Legacy won from a ninth draw from Judpot gelding Enforce and Jay Again. His debut over the same course and distance in soft going saw him finish just out of the placings. Dynasty's Legacy sold for R230 000 at the 2013 National Yearling Sale, and is owned by Mr J G Jones.

By Dynasty out of Irish-bred mare Leba by King's Best (by Kingmambo), Dynasty's Legacy has a two year old half-sister by Toreador named Relampago, and a yearling filly by King Of Kings named Kingy Thingy.

Leba is out of a Lomond mare and a half-sister to three Stakes horses, Kunda, Yajree and Travelmate, from the immediate damline of sire Braashee. This is the family of Fantastic View, Gr1 winning Velvet Moon and Moon Ballad.

Roski-bred Journeyman got his Dubai Carnival preparation off to a start on 31 December at Meydan racecourse, finishing one and three quarter lengths off the winner Atlantic Brave in the EGA Excellence Trophy. Carrying 56kgs, he was ridden by Jason Doyle. Journeyman is trained by Mike De Kock and we look forward to watching his progress in Dubai.
